About

Hi! I'm Corrine, the owner of this small shop called Tiny Spark Studio. I am a married mom to 6 sons (4 of which I homeschool). I guess you can say I have my hands full, but it is my heart that is truly full. I feel very grateful that I have been blessed with the opportunity to be a stay-at-home mom, which has also given me the time to craft and create.

How It All Started

In 2008, I started my crafting journey by making jewelry. I did this off and on for many years before I decided to try my hand at sewing. In 2016, after my 4th son (my rainbow baby) was born, I started making baby blankets, lovies, and children's clothing. That led to a desire to sew other things, such as essential oil bags, wristlet purses, boho bags and anything else I could feed into my sewing machines. In 2019, I decided to buy supplies for macramé, and that instantly sparked another passion. Then, in March of 2020, Covid-19 hit and I was flooded with orders for face masks. I worked day and night for hours on end, and I made close to 500 masks in a very short amount of time. Needless to say, I became burnt out from sewing and decided to take a little break. During this short break, I chose to experiment with polymer clay which then began my love of making clay jewelry. My most recent creative skill that I picked up in 2022 is quilting. I have since taken a course to become a Quilt Pattern Designer, so keep an eye out for some exciting new things in the quilting realm.

Today, my main focus is sewing and quilting, but I am always up to trying new things. Basically, you name it and I probably make it. Or at least I'll try to! My skills and passion for creating have evolved into something greater than I ever could've imagined back when I first became a maker almost 15 years ago. I am determined to continue growing both myself and this business, and I can't wait to see what the future holds.

Why Tiny Spark Studio?

I named my shop based on one of my favorite songs called "Last Hope" by Paramore. In the lyrics, it says, "It's just a spark, but it's enough to keep me going." I have experienced some tough times and have gone through many hardships in life, but I have persevered and come out a stronger person because of it. In my life, I have experienced the heartbreaking death of loved ones, including my identical twin sister. and grandparents. I have been a victim of domestic violence and sexual assault. I have experienced multiple pregnancy losses and immense heartache. I have been in horribly scary situations and a car accident that could have taken my life. I have previously struggled with depression and substance abuse. And when I was at my lowest, I wanted to just give up on everything and end it all. But then I heard Paramore's song, "Last Hope", in May of 2013, and I truly believe it saved my life. I can proudly say today that I have been sober now for more than 10 years, and I continue to learn, grow, and intentionally move forward in life. I am a completely different person than I used to be, and I am so grateful for that. My initial healing process led me to create this shop with the desire to put handcrafted goodness into the world and inspire others. I learned that all it takes is a tiny spark of hope to light the way and bring brighter days.
